New Year message from the president of FDC, Mr. Khatami

24th December 2015 On the auspicious occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ who is the messenger of peace and mercy, and upcoming New Year I would like to extend my well wishes to you and to the world. I would like to congratulate all the men of liberty and all the ones whose heart beat for the love of God, peace and security while also taking this opportunity to extend my concern and heartache to those who have suffered the past year over ever increasing disappointments that have been occurring around the world.

COMMEMORATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE (20 September 2013-United Nations office in Geneva)

In the context of commemoration of the International Day of Peace, the Foundation for Dialogue Among Civilizations (FDC) participated in organizing an international meeting on “The Role of National Institutions in the Promotion of Education for Peace and Peace as a Human Right”.

UN - ECOSOC GRANTS CONSULTATIVE STATUS To “The Foundation for Dialogue among Civilizations” (FDC)

FDC is pleased to announce that UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at its Substantive Session of July 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland, adopted the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to grant Special Consultative Status to the “Foundation for the “Dialogue among Civilizations” (FDC).

The Human Rights Council (HRC) is an inter-governmental body reporting to the General Assembly and made up of 47 States responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the globe. The GA established the HR Council on 15 March 2006 with the additional purpose of developing the international human rights law.
